Introduction of the keynote speakers

We are honoured that the keynote speakers, Nico Degenkolb and Zoltán Mészáros have accepted our invitation to give plenary presentations at the conference. 

 

Nico Degenkolb - Goethe-Institute, Munich (Germany)

Interim Action Programme Director at EIT Culture & Creativity (responsible for CCSI-driven Social Innovation)

In 2011, Nico Degenkolb joined the Goethe-Institut Head Office where he currently holds the position of Senior advisor for Cultural & Creative Industries. Nico is project Head of Goethe-Institute's Creative City Programme "Cities Ahead". From 2017- 2021, Nico served as Bid Coordinator of the shortlisted application of the City of Nuremberg for the title "European Capital of Culture 2025". Nico holds degrees in History (B.A.) and International Relations & European Studies (M.A.) from the University of Augsburg and Central European University Budapest.

Zoltán Mészáros - Veszprém-Balaton 2023 ECoC (Veszprém, Hungary)

Born in 1966, educated as a teacher, a cultural touristic entrepreneur with strong localpatriotic roots. Owner and managing director of Oliva Hotel**** and Restaurant, founder and managing director of VeszpremFest, member of the bidding team since the beginning of Veszprém-Balaton 2023 ECOC, first CEO of the company, chief advisor recently.
